Nothingness like darkness
creeping down the soul
gasping to swallow
I choke
somewhere in the twilight of a dying love
you look at me and laugh
familiar sound
strangely real to the touch
the sparkle of the eyes
in which
not so long ago I drowned and thought I had died
dreaming in madness
blind
like a bat
my head against the wall of a bottomless cave
I sleep my life away in the seemingly safe net of your arm
but I survived
awaken from my coma the day you left
a pain like thunder strike
burning
emptiness growing as we drift forever further apart
nothingness like darkness
creeping down the soul...
